 Spatial Analysis Minimize

Why use dozens of tables and charts when the information can be clearly understood in a single image? When you need to know how many, how far, how much of an impact a decision will make CGIA can help you analyze the relationships.

Project Examples
Land Suitability Modeling
Client - Sustainable Sandhills

CGIA collaborated with Sustainable Sandhills, a nonprofit organization, and its stakeholders to develop GIS models and maps to communicate potential for six land types to support planning and sustainability in an 11-county area that includes Fort Bragg. Products include a guide for GIS users.

Classified Isolated Wetlands
Client - EPA

CGIA partnered with RTI International, NC Divisions of Water Quality and Coastal Management, SC Department of Health and Environmental Control, University of South Carolina, and Oregon State University on an EPA grant to explore the condition and fate of geographically isolated wetlands in coastal plain regions on the coast of North and South Carolina. The REMAP team created a GIS approach to model physical, hydrologic and biological characteristics relevant to the conditions of geographic isolated wetlands. The project developed a process and produced polygon datasets that represent the likely locations of geographically isolated wetlands for eight counties along the coast of North and South Carolina.
Strategic Lands Inventory
Client - The Conservation Fund

NC DENR awarded a grant to the Conservation Fund who engaged CGIA to assist in the design and implementation of land suitability analysis in eastern counties in the context of six land use types and the regional military mission. The project engaged stakeholders in collaboration with the Southeast Regional Partnership for Planning and Sustainability. Products included GIS files and documentation.
